"The Negotiator" was a nickname that was given to Jedi Master Obi-Wan Kenobi during the Clone Wars due to his diplomatic skills. During the war, Obi-Wan gained a reputation for stopping battles without lifting a single weapon, in contrast to Anakin Skywalker, who earned the moniker "the Hero With No Fear." Mainly, Obi-Wan would negotiate with the Separatist commander, have a small drink, while the enemy would demand his surrender; Obi-Wan would ask that if he surrendered, he be given proper assurances, such as his troops being provisioned. Sensationalist HoloNet news broadcasts turned Kenobi and Skywalker into the poster boys for the Republic war effort. This may be why his flagship is called the Negotiator.
