Philip Murray was an American union leader and organizer in the mid-20th century. In 1941, he ran the strong industrial union CIO. That year, Time magazine published an article on the CIO's relationship to the United States military, which was included in the January 27th edition of Time available in the Dixon Hill holoprogram.
