In 2364, the Old City came under attack by a star-jelly in response for the Bandi's capture of its mate eighteen months prior. The Bandi had then tortured the creature to assume the image of Farpoint Station, which was located near the city. Thankfully the attack ceased when the creature was rejoined by its mate due to the intervention of the USS Enterprise-D. (TNG episode: "Encounter at Farpoint")
