Tanimagakure (lit. Village Hidden in the Chasm) is a completely independent ninja village; despite having been separated from the rest of the world for centuries, Tanimagakure has prospered marvelously. Tanimagakure is located in the upper-left corner of the Land of Earth, right in between two extremely tall mountain ranges' summits. Since it's in a black-as-pitch ravine, the villagers have learned to adapt to the constant darkness. Each villager has a certain occupation to help maintain the balance of light, water, etc, using their chakra type.
