Guests may enter and leave Epcot through the International Gateway either on foot or by boat. The boats may also travel from Epcot through the International Gateway to Disney's Hollywood Studios. The resort closest to the International Gateway is Disney's Beach Club Resort & Villas. It is not necessary to be staying in any of the nearby Epcot resorts to gain access to Epcot via the International Gateway, as it is still a normal park entrance. The only requirement is a valid park ticket as any other park entrance requires. Some face characters can now be found walking around there for some surprise meet and greets.
