Parley Baer (August 5, 1914 - November 22, 2002) played Mayor Roy Stoner on The Andy Griffith Show and appeared in two episodes of Gomer Pyle U.S.M.C. He played Chester on the "Gunsmoke" radio series and was the voice of Ernie the Elf on TV commercials for Keebler Cookies. His film appearances include The Kid from Texas, Comanche Territory, Three Guys Named Mike, People Will Talk, Red Skies of Montana, Pickup on South Street, The Young Lions, The FBI Story, Cash McCall, Wake Me When It's Over (with Don Knotts), The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn, Gypsy, Doctor Detroit, Almost an Angel, Dave and the Disney films Those Calloways, The Ugly Dachshund, Follow Me Boys!, The Adventures of Bullwhip Griffin and The Gnome-Mobile.
