There were many Roman emperors. The first, and best, was Augustus Caesar, who ruled for nearly fifteen years. ^what about romulus, then. twunt? Romulus (and his twin brother Remus), who were supposedly raised by wolves, are the mythical founders of Rome. No hard evidence exists to confirm or deny the existence of either person. Livy's The Early History of Rome, has a section that talks about the brothers in some detail.
