While Random Kingdom VXR recycles the usual , a great deal of per-character customization is possible via the Atmacite system. Atmacites are magical crystals commonly found in the world of the game. Small orbs fashioned from these crystals can be made to contain the essence of various monsters, giving the player access to skills and traits when inserted into weapons and armor, while larger crystal formations, found in dungeons and towns, perform a variety of gameplay functions such as saving the game, curing the player's party and enabling teleport between faraway locations.
