Acerbus Animus, later known and feared as the Sith Lord Darth Contemnus, was an Echani male. Born on the Echani homeworld of Eshan, Animus was discovered to be Force-sensitive by the Jedi Order when he was a year old and was subsequently taken to the Jedi Temple on Coruscant for training. Animus and Kath went on several missions together, often landing themselves in danger. One of the most prolific of these was their mission to Dac where the two Jedi were called upon to settle a dispute between the Quarren and the Mon Calamari, which might have otherwise led to full-scale war.
