The 1966 Georgia Cracker 300 was a Grand National (now Nextel Cup) event held at Augusta Speedway on November 14, 1965. Despite the '65 date, it was the '66 season opener. Richard Petty led 132 of the 300 laps in route to a dominating victory on Bobby Isaac. Eventual season champ David Pearson started the year in 1966. Stats
