The Compliance Ministry is a quiet UN agency that slips into the national legislatures of all UN members and adds the effects of the latest passed resolution to that nation's code of law. As it does so, it sends a telegram to each affected nation, informing them that they have been brought into compliance. In addition, member nations may have their own national agencies tasked with implementing mandatory UN resolutions (i.e., all of them). Such agencies sometimes specialise in exploiting loopholes so as to abide by the letter of the resolution but not its spirit. (See .)
