Dewbecca was a Wookiee male Jedi Master during the Alsakan Crisis who came to serve as the Grandmaster of the Jedi Order following the arrest and escape of previous Grandmaster Banik Kelrada. He was appointed to the Jedi High Council shortly before the Jedi Order began to involve itself in the war between the Alsakan Union and the Galactic Republic, and he only served a short time before being elected Jedi Grandmaster just after the Conclave on Ossus which resulted in the creation of Ospion.
