The Great Schism, or The Fourth Great Schism as it would later be known to historians, was an event that saw fifty Jedi leave the Jedi Order, rebuild the New Sith Empire, and launch a Sith Crusade to reclaim the Sith Sacred Worlds. In the year 2,000 BBY (1000 years before the rise of Darth Bane), the Jedi had been occupying the former Sith worlds for over a millennia in an attempt to control and destroy any potential Sith uprisings and prevent a future Sith War.
