The Daidoji Heavy Regular made up the solid core of the Crane's armies. They were trained alongside the Crab warriors atop the Great Carpenter Wall, as fighting on the Wall was a great means of improving teamwork and sheer martial prowess. The Daidoji who returned from these sojourns were Heavy Regulars, making up the majority of the Crane armies' Heavy Infantry. Among the Crab, the Heavy Regulars were known as "Iron Cranes." They were usually employed to blunt or break enemy charges and as blocking forces to resist enemy arrow barrages. They usually prefered either the tetsubo or the dai tsuchi as their primary armament.
