It is used by few Nerf blasters. It was one of the first types of ammunition and one of the longest running; it was the second type of Nerf ammunition ever produced, only behind the Nerf rocket. It varies in color although all variations are practically identical in performance. They are small foam balls that are shot mainly out of ball blasters; however, there are some blasters that can fire balls as well as darts. They are usually frowned upon by older Nerfers because they have a rather poor range when compared to other types of ammunition.
