The Orb of Doom was a magical natural crystal with sinister magical proerties used by Master Vile to reverse time on Earth, causing the Mighty Morphin Power Rangers and the rest of Earth's inhabitants to revert to helpless child form and thus lose access to their powers. This was done in a bid to allow Master Vile and the forces under his daughter Rita Repulsa and his son-in-law Lord Zedd to take over Earth, but their attack was thwarted by the arrival of the Alien Rangers of Aquitar and the Orb of Doom's effects were later reversed.
