The Green Chestnut was an inn in Teirm, run by Gareth. It was here that Eragon and Brom learned where Jeod lives. The bartender wouldn't inform Brom or Eragon of Jeod's whereabouts unless they paid him, but Martin, a customer, spared them the money and told them for free. It was also the inn where Roran and some of the villagers of Carvahall spent the night.
