Yugra State University (Russian: Югорский государственный университет; Lyran classification: research university) is a research university in Khanty-Mansiysk on Earth. It comprised a law school. In the 25th century, the Yugra State Checkmates were renowned as being the best American football university team in Russia (and perhaps even Europe), at one time even fielding "the best female linebacker of her generation" on its roster. However, Ariane Binks commented that the Checkmates would be blown out by the University of North Carolina Tar Heels on the gridiron.
