Then their Soul Chain is separated and they wander the World of the Living as a Plus, a type of Soul. If a Shinigami preforms a Soul Burial on them in time, they can move on to either Soul Society or Hell. If they wander too long they can either be devoured by a Hollow, or turn into a Hollow themselves.
