Joaquín Félix Aznar Miranda was elected to the Senate in 2640. Aznar Miranda defeated Pazia Bizena-Elton for the leadership of the party. He became Deputy Praetor in February 2643. He was close allies with Praetor Yoshirō Koizumi. In 2644, Aznar Miranda met a new Senator and millionaire magazine publisher, Emerson St. Clair. The two became close friends. In 2646, Aznar Miranda resigned as Deputy Praetor in order to persue an independent candidacy for Praetor later in the year. He helped Praetor Ada Cambridge form a new cabinet.
