Thomas Newman Thurlby (born November 9, 1938) is a retired professional ice hockey defenceman who briefly played in the National Hockey League for the Oakland Seals. Originally a Montreal Canadiens' prospect, he was accquired by the Boston Bruins in the Intra-League Draft in 1960. In 1966 his rights were transferred to the San Francisco Seals of the Western Hockey League and subsequently to the NHL's Oakland Seals. In 1968 he was traded back to the Canadiens by the Seals.
