Although much of his sleeping consciousness was imprisoned in The Abyss—following his first War on the Galaxy—little slivers managed to escape through the small gaps in his cage, these slivers later caused "drops" in the timeline thus manifesting as different entities: e.g. Ajunta Pall's rage, the birth of Vitiate and the Dark side sentient artificial intelligence on the Star Forge, each in their own way managed to change history and lead the Galaxy on the path to War, Chaos and even the Ruination of multiple organizations and civilizations.
