Ben Rubino is mentioned briefly during the film Saving Private Ryan. He served as a paratrooper of the 101st Airborne Division during World War. His surname suggests that he was an American of Italian descent, but nothing more is known of him. At some point in time, possibly not long after the landings at Normandy, Ben Rubino was killed action while in France. His dogtag was later among those removed from dead paratroopers and discovered by Captain John H. Miller and his Ranger squad.
