Starting in 1994 under the Name Joe Schocker and His All-Star Band, the 10 musicians made an important step forward when renaming and transforming the band into BoXer - no more classics by Joe Cocker, it was time to find their own musical identity. Holger Stenger and his musicians are proud of their first-class song-material and is apparent in their deeply emotional, powerful performances. The bands music is a mixture of RnB, modern Soul, Pop and some Rockpower. Its essence is made up of Holgers growling voice and a rhythm section, which knows how to play a perfect groove. The top of the cream are a killer horn section and powerful backing vocals that both make for some of the best ones available in Rhein-Main area. More importantly however, this is a true working band - and this is felt b
