Arnold Peters (1925 - 13th May 2013) appeared in Coronation Street in February 1971 as a College Principal. This was a minor role in a long career which includes parts in Crossroads, Z Cars, Dixon of Dock Green, Please Sir!, Within These Walls, The Onedin Line, London Belongs to Me, Last of the Summer Wine, It Ain’t Half Hot, Mum and a regular role in the 1960s BBC drama Sizzlewick. He was best known for playing Jack Woolley in The Archers from 1980, last heard on air in July 2011.
