Amy Barlow went missing in March 2012 when she went off with Lesley Kershaw who was suffering from dementia. Her friends and family started looking for her and her father Steve McDonald looked through Hall Gardens. In the distance he saw a Man with a small girl who was wearing a red coat like Amy's and they appeared to be struggling, Steve ran up to them and realised that the girl was not Amy and her father was attending to her after she had fallen. Steve apologised for frightening them and described Amy and Lesley, asking if he had seen them. The man replied that being a school day they had only seen toddlers and Steve asked him to look out for them, carrying on his search.
