Doctor Berel was a male Malcorian physician in the 24th century. By 2367, he became director of the Sikla Medical Facility on Malcor III. Berel was a very dedicated physician who took his oath seriously. When Minister of Internal Security, Krola, was contacted about Riker, Krola put guards on him to keep him contained. He later ordered Berel to wake Riker so he could be interrogated. Berel refused, on the grounds that doing so would violate medical ethics, since he was still in critical condition.
