Captain Vortalon was the hero of Nikki Vorsoisson's favorite vid series. A story supposedly based on real historical events, it featured a fictitious pilot officer who helped Prince Xav smuggle weapons to the Barrayaran fighters against the Cetagandan Invasion. One story arc featured a bit of revenge drama: Captain Vortalon hunted down and killed three collaborators who'd arranged the death of his father.
