Abbott "Tad" Lipsky received an A.B. in physics from Amherst College in 1971, an M.A. in economics from Stanford University in 1976, and a J.D. from Stanford Law School in 1976. Mr. Lipsky is a partner in the Washington, D.C. office of Latham & Watkins. His thirty-year career, devoted entirely to antitrust, spans virtually every facet of competition law -- monopolization, vertical and horizontal relationships, mergers, acquisitions and joint ventures, civil and criminal practice, regulated industries, exemptions and immunities, intellectual property issues, legislation and policy -- from both public and private, U.S. and foreign, and in-house and law firm perspectives.
