The Horned Akiss was a military spaceship built by the Race and deployed in orbit around Home to guard against any aggression by the American Tosevites starship Admiral Peary, the first spacecraft not of Race manufacture to enter the Tau Ceti system. It was named for the akiss, a beast of Race mythology comparable to the dragon of Earth legend. Its commander was Medium Spaceship Commander Henrep.
