Fred Goss runs Mayberry's dry cleaning establishment. In his second appearance, he tries to woo Aunt Bee Taylor, who has decided to settle with someone to marry, but he ends up falling for the womanly wiles of Clara Edwards. He isn't a neat person, and actually seems to be a slob- especially for someone who works in the dry cleaning business.
