The Koiwai Metropolitan Government is the government of the Ivalician Federal District, headed by a publicly elected governor and district assembly. Its administrative structure is similar to the governments of Ivalice's other three states. The headquarters building is located in downtown Koiwai. The Ivalician Federal District is, by the national constitution, a federal district. Within the Federal District lies the City of Koiwai, and several other smaller municipalities. It is divided into nine counties plus the City, each with equal representation in the district assembly.
