Austin Scott is the Tyrannosaurus Jurassic Ranger, the Alpha Tyrannosaurus Jurassic Ranger and later the Red Ninja Ranger portrayed by Braeden Lemasters. Austin debuts in the "Pilot" of the series as sophomore who is in community service after making a mistake earlier that summer. He is best friends with Ethan Caplan who he been friends with since middle school much to Ethan's mom's displeasure. He also has a crush on Billy which sparks a rivalry with him and Dave who also happens to be a bully to Austin in the beginning of the series before becoming his friend. He is based on the characters on former Red Rangers Jason Scott and Rocky DeSantos.
