This sentient species were native to the planet Byrsym, which was located near Daimar, in the Mid Rim of the galaxy. Their homeworld orbited relatively close to its primary star, making it a hot world during the day. The heat forced them to remain indoors during the day, but the nights on the planet were cool enough for most regular activities. This meant that the nightlife on Byrsym was quite vibrant and often exciting. It was one of the first worlds to feel the might of the Galactic Empire, because it was placed under Imperial control shortly after the end of the Clone Wars. This did not sit well with the native population, which was largely non-human.
