The Minotaur Cluster was an astronomical group outside of Federation territory. The Minotaur Cluster included a red giant star designated TNC-5527, but little of any value. In 2269, while aboard the RRV Queen Mary, Hikaru Sulu was able to identify these stellar objects when the Orion ship stopped nearby to make repairs. (TOS novel: Prime Directive)
