The largest standard warship in the Confederate Navy the Aegis is considered both a command vessel and a battleship. Falling into the same class as the Loris Empire's OHD battleship the Aegis is considered to be a battle changer. At the end of its development it was seen as the epitome of Wild Star's warship designs coming from the development facilities. Pushing the limits of all weaponry, hull and shielding technology the Aegis is used rarely as a normal naval vessel and is almost always the command ship to fleets or large task forces.
