The Bowcaster was a special weapon used mainly by the Wookiees of Kashyyyk. When the trigger is tapped just once, the bowcaster would let out a burst of powerful energy. When the trigger was held down, though, the the bowcaster would either shoot one even more powerful blast, or multiple blasts at once, depending on how long the user held the trigger. It was often used by the Wookiee hero Chewbacca. In Battlefront II a well placed shot from the Bowcaster would easily take down a MagnaGuard.
