An Easterner who lives in South Adrilankha. Jakoub is a cobbler who, in addition to making shoes, also performs other leatherworking commissions for special clients. He has made special boots and sheaths for Vlad Taltos on several occasions, often enough that he has become very familiar with Vlad's "special needs". When the Left Hand of the Jhereg attempted to exert control over South Adrilankha, Jakoub, who keeps his ear to the ground and understands a bit about the Jhereg, aided Vlad in helping to root them out.
