Documentation of their existence stretches back to about 7,500 BBY when a large number of them were on record as being in the service of Fer’notho the Hutt. Iodanese raiders later appeared on the edge of Republic space in 4,008 BBY and launched attacks on several planets, including Nine Eikult for the next three decades. By the time of the Clone Wars there were only a few thousand of them left in the galaxy. At least one was on Coruscant with Tull Strayfiend in the service of the CIS in 21 BBY. Two Iodanese served in the Jedi Order of the Old Republic during the time of the Cold War and one Iodanese, Elbore Usha, served in the New Jedi Order from 19 ABY until his death in the Second Galactic Civil War.
