After the Fall Is Over is a story that Anne McCaffrey had been working on prior to her knee and hip surgery in 2010 but was not able to complete before her death the following year. The story is said to take place after the Ninth Pass, after The Skies of Pern. In July 2012, Todd McCaffrey stated that he was not sure if it would "complete the story of Lessa and F'lar or merely expand it." As of that date, the most recent version of the manuscript was in the hands of Anne McCaffrey's agent.
