A war between the Dolutha Clan of the Cinsina and the Black Fox Clan of the Dinacoli * The cause was the theft in 1608 ST of a prize White Foal from Brofin the Beardless * The thief was Kulkand Blackhands of the Black Fox * Brofin demanded its return but was refused. * Rossarian the Quick, a Dolutha thane stole back the foal and in doing so, killed Kulkandson * Kulkand refused Wergild and demanded blood vengeance. * Kulkand stole the foal again in 1609 ST * Brofin led a raid against the Black Fox to retrieve it. * The result was a Dolutha defeat at the Battle of Yellow Meadow * Brofin then challenged Kulkand to a duel at the Isle Dangerous * Presumably Brofin killed Kulkand for he regained the Foal and brought the war to an end.
