Freighters include any ship in the game that are built for the primary purpose of hauling cargo around. They range from the tiny Cargo Drone to the immense Leviathan. Freighters are generally lightly armed and defended, making them tempting targets for Pirates and players. Freighters generally carry cargo and/or a sum of credits; in most cases, a player who boards a disabled freighter will find the cargo more profitable to steal if sufficient storage space is available.
