Dorette Potgieter (born 25th March 1973) appeared as a Receptionist in the 2008 spin-off DVD Coronation Street: Out of Africa. She made her debut at the age of six in a production of Gigi followed by The Sound of Music. After studying musical theatre, ballet and drama, she has played made roles in theatre and television in South Africa including a part in the soap Egoli Place of Gold and other roles in Soutmansland, Vleisvreeters, Villa Rosa, Africa and Citizen Verdict and theatre parts in Die Renosters, Thandi & Toffie and Avatar.
