The Blinder was the name given to a serial killer responsible for a spree of telepath murders on Beta Colony in 2253. When it became clear that the local authorities had no interest in solving the murders, Psi Corps agents Alfred Bester and Lyta Alexander tracked the individual to an Adamist bar in Beta City. Not willing to turn him over to the mundanes, Bester and the local MetaPol station chief Anne Mallory took him back to the station house, where his mind was filled with horrific visions, driving him beyond insanity. For the rest of his life, the Blinder would have to be kept restrained 24/7, otherwise he'd claw his own eyes out and swallow his tongue to make the visions stop.
