Back in 2002, when Firefox was still known as Phoenix and wasn’t used by that many people, I started to help other users of the browser on the MozillaZine support forums and became more and more familiar with the ins and outs of the software. I noticed that people were asking the same questions over and over again in the forums, so I decided to do something about that and created a website listing the most frequently asked questions. From that point, my involvement with Mozilla got a lot deeper and I found myself spending several hours every day working on the site and helping people in the forums.
