The Zoo Tycoon Official Forums was an official site created by Microsoft that allowed Zoo Tycoon fans to communicate, hosting all questions, comments, concerns related to the games. Thread creation and replies to posts were disabled on June 17th, 2008, partly because Microsoft and Blue Fang Games's contract to make the game ended, but also because of the actions of a notorious forum moderator named Padfoot, who had crossed the line by banning a member who happened to be handicapped.. All the "refugees" were displaced to Zoo Tycoon Member Refuge, Zoo Tycoon Unleashed, and Zoo Tycoon Volcano, among other small sites. It required a Windows Live ID to use. It was shut down in early 2013, alongside the original Zoo Tycoon website.
