Darine is a town in modern Sendaria. Originally part of Aloria, it became part of Algaria after the sons of Cherek Bear-shoulders split up their kingdom into four parts. During those early years, it was the home of Bormik, the prophet who revealed the Darine Codex. Sometime later, it was absorbed by Arendia, becoming a part of the duchy of Erat. When Duchess Polgara began scaling back her control of that region, it became one of the initial settlements of Sendaria.
