Hafez al-Asad was the son of Sheikh Bashar al-Asad and member of the Asad Tribe. He was taken captive by Hector Blackwell and Irinthiel Maurath after his group of Sarquil warriors had unsuccessfully tried to ambush them during the Threshold Riot. He was later executed by Hector.
