The Son-tuul Pride was a criminal organization that was based on Son-tuul, an Outer Rim jungle planet. The organization was a major competitor of the Hutt Clan, specifically Jabba the Hutt. Shortly after the Battle of Yavin, Imperial forces, under the command of Grand General Cassio Tagge, began cracking down on Outer Rim criminal interests, who had gone unchecked in the past. Using one of the Pride's smugglers as a double agent equipped with a tracker, Darth Vader destroyed the Pride's base and seized its credit hoards.
