Louise Bruss (née Memmler; May 30, 1874 – February 11, 1985) was an American verified supercentenarian. She was born as Louise Memmler in Cedarburg, Wisconsin. Her parents were Frederick and Marie. Bruss was the youngest of five children. Frederick was in the building business and later started a hotel company. She worked as a seamstress and also worked for Red Cross during World War 2. She married city treasurer John Bruss in 1926. He already had two children at the time, from a previous marriage. John died when he was in his 80s. She subsequently lived with a niece for seven years before moving to a nursing home.
